About Cold Spring Park

Vibrant. Diverse. Historic.

Cold Spring Park is named for a natural spring within its boundaries, which attracted early Milwaukeeans.  During the Civil War, Cold Spring Park housed Wisconsin troops and was named Camp Washburn.  After the war, Cold Spring park was home to a racetrack and the neighborhood filled in with large, historic homes at the turn of the century.  Today, most of the historic homes are intact and the neighborhood is a diverse, vibrant community.
